Galka's Bowling Pro Shop was established in 1979 by Andy and Wally Galka. After working 32 years for U.S. Steel and being an integral part of the youth bowling program in Northwest Indiana, Andy decided to take on his retirement from the mill and follow their dream of owning their own pro shop.

Andy and Wally worked side by side through the years to develop a loyal following of customers, many of whom are still with us today. Today Galka's Bowling Pro Shop is one of the very few independent, free standing pro shops left in the United States. We offer a wide variety of balls, bags, shoes, and other accessories that will fulfill all of your bowling needs. Continuing Andy's tradition of teaching the fine art of bowling, lessons are available from 2 of our customers who also happen to be PBA members.

With Andy's untimely and unexpected passing in 2005, Wally has worked hard to continue the tradition of the pro shop. Working alongside Wally is Larry Roberts Sr., who has 25 years of experience, and Dean Nagamoto, from California, who also brings 25 plus years of experience. The combined total of 75 years experience make Galka's the place to go for expert advice and equipment.
